{Vacation Overload Part 1}
Did you miss us? We've been MIA due to our end of the summer vacationing! My parents were coming home from their mission and my brother was getting married so we decided a trip back home was in order!
And you know me, if you haven't heard from us in a while then there's going to be major picture overload. So fasten your seat belts and remain seated at all times until the pilot turns off the fasten seat belt sign. Sit tight and enjoy your flight :)
Traveling with three littles was definitely an experience. They all did so good, but boy is it exhausting to everyone! Especially when your flight leaves at 6 am! Easton was my traveling buddy on the flight and he did so good! The only time he cried was when I had to change his diaper in the airplane bathroom. Let's be honest though, I almost cry every time I have to use that bathroom too. Other than that he just stared at me, smiled at anyone who would give him some attention, and slept on my lap. Such a happy boy!
This is such a classic Easton look. It's the "I really want to look at you, but my head is getting really heavy" look! Definitely a favorite of ours.
Speaking of classic looks. This is one of Eli's.
This boy cracks us all up and is full of all kinds of expressions. This is one of his more recently discovered looks.
Our first day of vacation was a memorable one because our sweet Easton was able to meet three of his grandparents for the very first time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again there are few moments in life more sweet than watching a grandparent meet their grandchild for the first time. There's just something special about it. And our sweet boy can light up a whole room so you can bet he had them all wanting to keep him by the end.
We weren't going to be able to make it over to Utah during this trip so you can imagine our excitement when we discovered that Grandma and Grandpa Pettit would be driving through Boise the very day that we arrived! It was so nice to see them and to have them meet Easton even if it was only for a few hours. I did feel bad they weren't able to see more of him though :-(
This is my nephew Ethan holding Easton. We always joke that Ethan's name is Easton with a lisp. All of my nephews were so sweet with him and they did a great job getting him to laugh! Eli was in heaven with all of his boy cousins! He's used to playing with Addy and all of her girlie friends so it was good for him to have some quality time with the boys!
One of the days we were there we hit up Roaring Springs Water Park. Seeing my kiddos having fun with their cousins makes me so happy. It also makes me miss them all so much and wish we could all live closer. It's crazy to me that they can have such a close connection with friends they only see once or so a year. It goes to show just how important our relationships with family really are.
They were all super excited for the wave pool and to ride all the slides they were allowed to ride at their height.
Miss Addy was in heaven on the "magic carpet" slide. We couldn't convince Eli to go on it though. Kids personalities are so funny to me. Addy is the anxiety filled, nervous child who catches you by surprise with her fearlessness when it comes to this stuff. Eli is the loud, wild, crazy child who won't do anything even remotely scary.
When we bought our tickets they gave each person a one dollar token to use at the concessions stand so we pooled our tokens together and bought two funnel cakes. I so wish we had videoed this madness.
The table before feeding time at the zoo happened.
7 starving kids, 3 adults, two funnel cakes, and 1 minute later . . .
I was laughing so hard just watching this scene unfold before my eyes.
Love my girls.
Love this group.
Fun filled days, late nights, and sleep overs are where it's at.
