{Apple Orchard}

Ryan finally had a weekend where he could spend an entire day with us! Yippee! Unfortunately it was cold and rainy all day, but we decided to not let that stop our plans for a fun day.

We decided to go with some friends of ours to The Center Grove Apple Orchard. I was really hoping to make it here last year, but didn't. So I promised myself we would go this year and I am so glad we did. It was such a fun little place to visit.



The highlight of the trip for Addy was probably the corn box. She was a little unsure of it at first, but it wasn't too long before she was scooping it up in her little hands and having a great time. I was glad Ryan was there to play with her! We made this our first stop hoping that maybe the rain would subside while we were playing, but it actually was raining even harder when we were finished. Go figure.





After playing in the corn we visited a few of the farm animals, made a stop at each of the "Three Little Pigs" houses,




and a few other Nursery Rhyme attractions.



This seriously is the cutest little place ever. On our way to the next event Addy had to make a stop at the outhouse.

Finally the rain stopped for a brief moment so we decided to go on a hay ride. Addy was very excited when she saw that a tractor was going to be pulling us. Her happiness was soon replaced with utter coldness as it began to pour on us. Miss Adalee's lips were blue by the end (and that was even after the nice man let us sit in the tractor to get warm). We were hoping to visit a few of the other attractions, but the rain was not letting up.



Cold and wet we made our way back to the car, but not without stopping at their store to try out all of the yummy apple samples! Apples, apple cider doughnuts, apple syrup, apple jam, apple pie, apple barbeque sauce, apple everything! We decided their samples were even better than going to Costco (which is saying a lot coming from this family)!



Such a fun day! We will definitely have to plan a return visit. Hopefully on a less rainy day ;)
