{Take Me Out to the Ball Game}

We checked going to a Cardinals game off our bucket list for St. Louis! Somehow I don't think getting all the way to the stadium and then realizing we forgot our tickets was part of the plan though!

Thankfully there was a delay start to the game due to rain so by the time we made it back an hour later it had just started! The Cardinals were playing the Pittsburgh PIRATES which the kids thought was so awesome. They had a blast clapping and dancing and trying to get their photos up on the big screen.

It was supposed to be a whopping 94 degrees the night we went, but the rain ended up cooling it off to the perfect temperature. We couldn't have asked for a better night! Except for the part where we forgot our tickets and the part where neither team scored any points while we were there, but we all still had a great time eating our popcorn and cheering them on!

In preparation for the big game we all purchased some Cardinals attire. Gotta show some St. Louis support! We really like to buy some sort of clothing item to represent the different places we have lived and we've had our hearts set on Cardinals gear since we moved here.

On a somewhat unrelated note . . . the city of St. Louis is celebrating 250 years this year and in honor of that they have made 250 "birthday cakes" and set them up all over the city. I had a crazy thought that we should hunt them all down and take a picture with each one, but somehow I don't think we'll make it even close to 250. We've just decided that when we are out and about and see one that we will take a picture with it. The kids think it's super fun and who am I kidding? So do I! It's kind of a rush :)

And now for the part where this actually had to do something with our night at the ball game. We couldn't resist walking an extra five minutes so that we could snap a picture with the  birthday cake located at the stadium. Three down, 247 to go! ;)

Easton sat this little adventure out, but he still dressed the part and cheered them on in his dreams.
