{Christopher Pop-In-Kins}

On December 1st, Addy and Eli woke to quite the surprise. Their very own elf! While they were nestled all snug in their beds, a little Elf named Christopher decided to pay them a visit and arrived with quite the goodies. Hot Cocoa and Powdered Donuts from the North Pole! He shared his story with them and just like that, he was ours!

Our little Christopher brought such a magical feeling to our home and every morning the kids would light up at the sight of him making "mischief." The second they woke up they were off to find Christopher in his new hiding place. Every morning as I lie in bed half asleep I could hear them giggling at him. Addy would excitedly run to my bedside, give me a good shake, and say, "Mom, come see what Christopher is doing!" I would sleepily reply, "What is he doing?" Addy, "I can't tell you, it's a surprise!" Or sometimes her reply was, "He is doing something really weird Mom!"

Christopher came with one SIMPLE instruction, not to touch him. If you touch him then he will lose his magic and will have to go back to the North Pole. A time or two Christopher didn't think his hiding place through very well and was definitely not out Eli's reach and well, we can all guess how that ended. In complete devastation and tears at the thought of Christopher having to leave! No worries though, Santa came to our rescue and mailed us an Elf Recovery Kit. Little bit of magic dust and he was feeling much better. Phew! This little guy made quite the mischief over the month.

He drew silly faces on the kids pictures, colored in Adalee's coloring book, took a "bubble bath" with Barbie, built a snowman out of marshmallows, made snow angels in sugar, hung from the light fixture, took a dive into Miss Addy's stocking, fished for goldfish in our toilet, was caught "red" handed dying our milk, and was spotted cruising the streets with Barbie in Eli's bus.

One night he got locked outside, another night he made a video of us all on "elf yourself" using our head shots (Addy was completely horrified of the movie and refused to look at it, she did NOT find it funny at all), one day he was just plain tired and curled up in the kleenex box for a nap, he enjoyed an afternoon tea party with his besties, took a ride in a horse drawn shoe, he read a story to Addy's pet shops, and climbed aboard our gingerbread house, he played a good ole' fashioned game of Candyland with a few friends, and even managed to swing from our grandfather clock. Sneaky little Elf.

On Christmas Eve Christopher's magic was lifted for a short period of time so the kids could say their good-byes. The looks on their faces when they got to hold him was priceless. Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas with out these kiddies. They are the magic of Christmas in our home. Everything pure, innocent, and so precious.
